In the Arms of My Lover

In the Arms of My Lover

Feet so gingerly moving
but lead to where
I long to always be
In the arms of my lover.

With God as my lover,
All dankness disappears.
Together
We swim in water so pure
Each stoke and gulp
refreshes.

Leaving the water
yet taking its Source,
We rise with joy
and swing upon the stars
until all beauty immerses Us in light.

Oh, where is fear?
My former friend has gone.
He calls to me no more,
when in my Lover’s arms.

There We have but love
in store
for all We meet.
