Learning and Teaching
“Will there ever come a time
when learning is complete” I asked?
“Will teaching be taught that always lasts”?
Must I seem to know and then forget?
Must I fall from grace and then regret?
Does a mother throw away a second child
because the first had such a smile?
Does a bird not sing today
because its voice so sweet
flew from out it yesterday?
Acceptance does not mean that all is learned.
Peace does not come from only known.
Each new day brings new embraces
of love renewed and unknown places.
Places savored by the smell, the touch, the sight,
the hearing bringing song’s delight.
So teacher teach
So learner learn
And let My Heart embrace you all
There's grace in teaching learned anew
each morn the learner’s
taught in teacher’s nectar brewed.
